The Rice Harvest Celebration in Bali is devoted to Dewi Sri, their rice god.The beginning was about a temple, built long time ago, using its natural spring water to bless the local people. People bath in the spring to obtain it’s blessing. Then, we visited an orchard to the local fruit as well as Bali coffee seeds (the one in green leaves). After that, we visited the Gunung Batur, a dormant volcano…splendid view…we even went down to it’s valley hoping to see its hot spring but was disappointed when it was more like a “long kang” with few lakia kids swimming in it…Throughout the Rice Harvest Festival in Bali, the entire village is decorated plus retouched by means of flags even as god dolls prepared from straw rice are positioned all through the turf.
