The Melasti Celebration is presented on the day preceding the Nyepi Celebration.The Kecak is a modern Balinese Dance. A large group of men provide the soundtrack by repeating a rhythmic “ke-cak ke-cak” throughout the performance. This performance occurs every night at the sacred Uluwatu temple as the sunsets over the ocean.Throughout the Melasti Festival in Bali, villagers are required to wear their most excellent garments in the midst of umbrellas and bringing flowers, consecrated sculptures and fruits that will be preented when they reach the sacred springs or the sea.
